Gilad is an Israeli indie singer-songwriter currently releasing his third album, As Time Goes By. His previous album, Hidden Flame, combined Gilad’s unique musical style with classic poetry by Edgar Allan Poe, Rudyard Kipling, Christina Rossetti, and Frances E. W. Harper, a project that received a personal thank-you letter from former U.S. President Barack Obama.

Gilad performs his original music on stage, radio, and television, and has been commissioned to write music for theater productions, choirs, and orchestras.

As Time Goes By is a deeply personal album dedicated to his family, sharing stories of love, connection, and life experiences. The first release from the album, Avigail’s Song, was inspired by a touching moment when Gilad’s two-year-old daughter fell asleep on his shoulder while listening to Bob Marley’s “Three Little Birds.”

The latest single, Making Up, is the fifth release from the album. It is an upbeat soft rock song about the moments after a big argument in a relationship — the realization that time spent fighting is time taken away from love, closeness, and the memories that brought two people together.

The song looks back at the early days of love: dancing, going out, laughing, and feeling connected. With a 70s-inspired classic pop-rock sound, electric guitars, rich harmonies, and a soaring falsetto chorus inspired by the spirit of bands like the Bee Gees, Making Up combines nostalgia, warmth, and a positive message about love and reconciliation.
